The Most Rev. Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, will address the VTS Community in a public lecture, "Why the Episcopal Church Needs World Anglicanism."
This is the second major event in the 2Oth Anniversary Year of VTS's Center for Anglican Communion Studies. In the first event, on November 15, 2017, the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, The Most Rev. Dr. Josiah Idowu-Fearon spoke on "The Vitality of World Anglicanism."
The evening will feature remarks by Bishop Curry, a panel conversation, and a time for audience questions. If you wish to ask a question during the panel conversation please submit your questions by January 25th to CACS Director Robert Heaney at [email protected].
Transportation and Parking
Directions: For travel directions go directly to the VTS website at www.vts.edu/directions.
Metro: The Metro is the best way to get around the Washington, DC area. The closest Metro stop is the King Street Station which is about three miles away in Old Town Alexandria. A one-way cab ride will cost around $10.00. A DASH bus ride is around $1.60 (free if coming from the Metro).
Parking: You may park in any parking space designated for visitors or in any undesignated space on the VTS campus. No parking pass is required. See this VTS campus map for the location of the Chapel and parking lots.
Handicap parking is available near Addison Academic Center.
