The country is in the midst of a critical political and policy debate that could reshape healthcare in America for generations to come. Many people are focused on who will pay for healthcare and whether or not we can we really afford it. Fewer people are focused on why healthcare costs so much in the first place and what we can we really do about it.
The goal of West Health’s Healthcare Costs Innovation Summit: A Healthcare Innovation Day Event (HCI-DC 2018) is to fuel the the best ideas, innovations and practical policy prescriptions to help change the trajectory of the cost of healthcare.
This free Summit will be held on February 21, 2018 at the Amphitheater at Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
Sessions at HCI-DC 2018 will focus on the imperative to control healthcare spending, the role of the provider and patient in driving down costs, the challenges of controlling prices, and the implications for healthcare policies and public programs.
This 2018 summit marks the fifth installment of the HCI-DC series, which convenes policymakers and the public and private sectors to discuss innovative solutions to our nation’s healthcare costs challenges.
