Join the Social Marketing Association of North America (SMANA) on Tuesday, February 20, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Population Institute for an evening of networking and discussion with fellow DC social marketers and behavior change colleagues.
This event will include representatives from three well-known family planning and reproductive health social marketing organizations – DKT and Population Media Center. After short introductory presentations from each group we will hold a panel discussion. Come learn about the history of social marketing and its early inception in family planning, how the field has innovated and turned the product “P” on its head, and how the use of storytelling increases demand for contraception methods. Come prepared with your own questions to ask this distinguished panel.
This event is free for SMANA members. Learn more about the benefits of joining SMANA here – http://smana.org. We will request non-members pay what they can (suggested donation of $5) at the door. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Please only RSVP if you plan to attend, as purchasing decisions will be made based on the number of RSVP’s. Space is very limited at this location, so if your plans change, please let us know so that we can allow someone on the waitlist to attend.
