A committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will hold a workshop on February 1-2, 2018, in Washington, DC, to review advances made to the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS). At the request of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this committee will assess changes that have been implemented (or plan to be implemented) by EPA in response to recommendations made in previous National Academies reports, such as Review of EPA's Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) Process and Review of the Environmental Protection Agency's Draft IRIS Assessment of Formaldehyde. This public workshop will serve as a venue for EPA to present its changes to the IRIS program and to provide an opportunity for stakeholder input on the changes to the program. The committee will base its assessment on information received at this workshop.

Please direct all inquiries and comments to [email protected]

**Public Comments: Slots are now available for making public comments at the workshop. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis. At this point, we are asking that you limit your remarks to 5 minutes maximum and that only one person per organization register to make public comments at this point. If we receive a large number of requests to make public comments, we might reduce the time allotted. Written submission of comments is encouraged; however, please be aware that all materials distributed to the committee are placed in a public access file so that anyone can review materials submitted to the committee. Public comments may also be submitted in writing for those who cannot participate in the workshop.

Please note: Public comments should be relevant to the agenda topics; this workshop is not a forum to debate the value of the IRIS program.
