SIDE BY SIDE
An Evening with Veterans and Service Dogs
- Sponsored by PenFed and benefiting Canine Companions for Independence-
Side by Side is a special event to honor the dedication, sacrifice and journey of our nation’s veterans. This evening will recognize the life-changing relationship between veterans and their service dogs as a critical part of service members’ recovery and transition back home. These highly skilled animals have a positive impact not just on those who have served, but also on their families.
The goal of Side by Side is to raise awareness and funds for Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org), a nonprofit that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Thank you for your support!
Join Nigel and friends for a celebration, including:
--Standup comics provided by the Armed Services Arts Partnership, a nonprofit dedicated to reintegrating veterans into the community through the arts (www.asapasap.org)
--Veteran musician Logan Vath provided by Operation Encore (www.operationencore.org)
--Live auction featuring a tropical Cayman Island getaway, a Carnival cruise, a behind-the-scenes chef experience at Jaleo restaurant, a veteran-crafted flag from Flags of Valor, and VIP sports packages with the Nationals and Capitals along with a ride on their famous Zamboni, known as the Olympia!
