How Can Women Step into Their Political Power?
The Fourth Annual Women’s Empowerment Program
Sunday, February 11, 2:00 - 4:30 PM
Women make up only a small fraction of elected officials in America. And the pool of young women considering careers in politics is still too small. The key to strengthening and increasing women’s representation in American government, and in leadership generally, is to get younger women engaged in politics and elected to office earlier in life.
Hear from Susannah Wellford, founder and president of Running Start, a nonpartisan nonprofit working to inspire and train the next generation of young women bringing their voices to the table and to the halls of power. Running Start provides young women the skills and confidence they need to become the leaders of tomorrow. Learn from its experience in training over 10,000 women how you can step up -- and help your daughter and granddaughter step up -- to the challenge.
This program is sponsored by the Carol Davidson Fund for the Advancement of Women and the Women of Temple Rodef Shalom.
