Event Details

This year marks the conclusion of the first year of the Trump presidency—and the year of the 2018 Midterm elections. It is a time for both reflection and action, and a time where we have learned the dangers of this administration and also have unique opportunities to fight for a progressive future.

Having clear goals and action steps to achieve those goals is key to any progressive work. But how do you define your priorities in a world where so many things are going wrong? How do you strategically pick your fights so that you constantly move forward and don't burn yourself out?

Join us at 6:30 on January 22nd at the Shaw Library, to answer these questions and explore the opportunities waiting in 2018.

Since the 2016 election, Rising Organizers has trained over 1000 new and beginner activists invested in the answers to these exact questions. Our training on January 22nd is designed to help groups and individuals expand their knowledge of community organizing, develop distinct goals, and learn how to make those goals a reality.
