We’re excited to host the 29th Annual Rural Health Policy Institute here in Washington, D.C., and we hope you will join us this February!
Every day we see more headlines describing the health crisis in rural America. Chronic disease, chronic poverty, chronic health care workforce shortages, and a rural hospital closure crisis have formed the perform storm that is devastating rural America. At the National Rural Health Association Annual (NRHA) Policy Institute, rural health care leaders from across the country will join national experts who will offer policy solutions on how to transform health care in rural America. The conference will focus on eliminating health disparities caused by the opioid epidemic and chronic disease, especially among rural minority populations, as well as address the escalating provider shortages in obstetric care, veterans’ care and dental and mental health care. Experts will also speak on the rural hospital closure crisis, important Rural Medicare programs (Extenders), the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicaid, Medicare, and the 340B Program.
This summit is NRHA’s 29th Annual Rural Health Policy Institute, the largest rural advocacy event in the nation. The approximately 500 attendees include rural health care providers, administrators of rural health clinics, community health centers and rural hospitals, directors of state offices of rural health and state rural health associations, educators and researchers.
Early registration discounts are available. Get your tickets now.
In addition, we will be hosting our first ever Rural Health Disparities Summit on the final day of the Policy Institute. During this meeting we will discuss the specific difficulties facing the most vulnerable members of our rural populations – expecting mothers, veterans, border communities, and minorities. We will be joined by experts from the Administration, National Cancer Institute, and Politico.
You can register for the whole conference here, but if you’re interested in attending only the final day, our Rural Health Disparities Summit, register through this event.
