It’s time to take a leap into 2018! Slow down and crystallize your goals and visions for the year ahead. This experiential workshop will give you the time and space to think about your year ahead and the challenges you may have, as well as look back on 2017.
- Identify your top accomplishments of 2017 and set goals for 2018.
- Journal through the challenges you may see yourself facing.
- Synthesize and make connections to help you jump forward this year.
Pam McFarland is the owner of Dragonfly Communications, an editorial and workshop facilitation firm in Silver Spring and is a member of Creative Colony. She is certified to teach the Journal to the Self workshop, based on the pioneering work of Kay Adams, author of the popular Journal to the Self series of books. She has facilitated or co-lead workshops in a variety of settings, and has also been a writer and editor for various trade publications and her own work for close to 25 years.
She brings compassion and sensitivity to her teaching, along with a mindfulness practice that informs her approach. She loves to see people’s faces light up when they connect with their own wisdom and power through something they have written, whether it be a poem, essay, or journal passage.

Hosted by Creative Colony on the fourth Wednesday of each month, Creative Boost is a morning workshop series for creative professionals to learn important skills to advance their creative endeavors and connect with like-minded individuals in the community.

Workshops will be led by a variety of people in our community and the topics will vary each month, covering everything from social media to the importance of community, how to gain inspiration, maintaining wellness in our busy lives, and much more.
