One of the most important jobs a father does is to help their growing children to become resilient and independent. The tricky part is knowing how to do that, especially when buttons and limits get pushed.
At this special StudyPro event, Rachel Bailey,
M.A. Clinical Psychology and Parenting Coach, will provide a 'distinctly dads' view of what is behind our children’s (sometimes challenging) behavior and what dads can DO and SAY to get the behavior we want. By understanding the “why” of children’s behavior, dads can become more effective in “how” to respond in a way that fosters responsible behavior while
bolstering relationships as well as children’s self-esteem.
Please join our “Calling all Dads” event to:
- meet and mingle over beers and small bites with other DC-area dads
- hear simple, practical ideas on how to become the best influence you can be in your child’s life
- support teen mentors and literacy in DC’s highest-need schools (see SPOTLIGHT ON LITERACY)
