Specific rules must be followed when constructing a new residential condominium or cooperative building or converting an existing structure into one. Among them: You must register a new or converted condominium or cooperative building.
Understanding the paperwork involved, including the rights of tenants who live in existing buildings, is an important step in meeting registration requirements in a timely and legal manner.
During this February 14 workshop, developers, realtors, and housing providers will:
- Get a working understanding of the registration process.
- Learn where and how to file out necessary documentation.
- Understand important timeframes for registering a condominium or cooperative building.
This workshop is sponsored by the Housing Regulation Administration (HRA) of the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). HRA administers and regulates parts of the District’s rental housing and condominium laws.
