Dr. Karpf will be discussing his recent book, Analytic Activism, and how activist/advocacy organizations use digital tools for listening, monitoring, and strategy. Unlike previous lectures, this one will be held on the record.

Dr. Dave Karpf is associate professor and director of graduate studies in the George Washington University School of Media & Public Affairs. He teaches and conducts research on strategic political communication in the digital age, with a particular focus on the organizational layer of American politics. Karpf is the award-winning author of The MoveOn Effect: The Unexpected Transformation of American Political Advocacy (Oxford University Press, 2012) and Analytic Activism: Digital Listening and the New Political Strategy (Oxford University Press, 2016).
