"Wizard of Oz" (MGM, 1939) 102 min.
Dorothy Gale is swept away from a farm in Kansas to a magical land of Oz in a tornado and embarks on a quest with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home in Kansas and help her friends as well."The Wizard of Oz" was added to the National Film Registry in 1989.
Located between the Supreme Court and the Jefferson Building, 10 First St., SE (running the length of East Capitol Street between First and Second Streets, SE), the north lawn of the Jefferson Building provides a comfortable space for people to watch the feature films. Moviegoers are welcome to bring picnics.

Additionally, the Library of Congress and Washington Performing Arts' Mars Urban Arts Initiative will co-host " Summer Concerts on the Lawn" outdoor musical performances. The performances will begin at 7pm prior to the films from July 19 - August 23.
