In partnership with Transition and Care Management, Mental Health, VA Voluntary Service, Vet Centers, VESO, VBA, VSOs, CBOs, the Mayor’s Office of Veteran’s Affairs, D.C. Law Students in Court, and the Veterans Mental Health Advisory Council, veterans will be able to file an:
- Original claim
- Re-open a claim
- New claim
- Secondary claim
- Talk with an attorney from DC, MD or VA about sealing criminal records and DD-214 upgrade
- Talk with representatives about benefits eligibility
- Sign up for Myhealthyvet
- Check eligibility for services at the DC VAMC
Does pre-registration guarantee I will be seen at a specific time?
No. Pre-registration does not guarantee you a specific appointment time, It is for planning purposes only. Attendees will be seen on a first come first serve basis. Arrive early!
May I bring other veterans and family members?
Yes, we encourage you to tell other veterans about this opportunity for records evaluation. Moreover, family members are encouraged to share in this experience. However, so that we know how to plan, please pre-register all who will attend this event with you.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age requirement to enter. The event is open to Veterans, their family members and caregivers. Bring what ID you have. If you do not have an ID or the most current ID, we will assist you with getting one.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is limited! For your future comfort and safety, the DC VAMC is adding additional parking spaces to the facility grounds. Additional parking is available along the side and back areas of the Medical Center.
