Drum Roll Please...... PWR HOUR is back!!!!

If you are a bad ass female doctor that wants to meet other intelligent and powerful female physicians, this event is for you. Past events have been met with a lot of positive feedback, which makes us want to throw more and get more women involved! Check out our Facebook page, PWR Meetup, for pictures of past events.

PWR HOUR, which stands for Physican Women Rally, invites you to join us for an evening of wine, cheese, light bites, networking, and learning. Networking traditionally ends up being painful, not useful, and can sometimes result in only short term relationships. PWR HOUR is changing that. PWR HOUR is a meetup for a small group of physician females, where we not only get to know each other but we also get to learn from an accomplished speaker. We encourage you to bring a friend.. the "more the merrier". Pricing is lower if you bring a new PWR doctor to us, and is also tiered according to when you buy, so your hosts have time to make last minute food and beverage adjustments.

Our speaker on Monday July 16 is best selling self-published author, Amber Robins. Dr. Amber Robins is a family medicine doctor practicing in Arlington, VA, at Premier Primary Care. Her latest project is the best selling book "The Chronicles of Women in White Coats" featuring 20 female doctors from around the country. Dr. Robins has recently completed her Health and Media fellowship at Georgetown University School of Medicine/PBS NewsHour and was honored as a 2018 40 under 40 for the National Minority Quality Forum. You can find more about Dr. Robins at www.DrAmberRobins.com. Dr. Robins talk will be "5 steps to Publishing a Book: Writing to Logistics." As always, it will be more discussion style than lecture style, so you all have an opportunity to ask her questions. Drinks, apps and mingling from 645 pm to 8 pm and then we will start the talk.

Your hosts:

Saya Nagori is an ophthalmologist and physician entrepreneur. She is the Co-Founder and Medical Director of the telemedicine company Simple Contacts. Since starting the company in 2015, Simple Contacts has raised over $20 million in funding, has had over 500,000 patients, and is operational in 42 states. She left her job at NYU and moved to Washington D.C. to live with her fiance, and is now starting her own ophthalmology practice. She was an invited speaker for the Innovator's Session keynote panel during the ASCRS convention on April 16, 2018. She is obsessed with traveling, baby gifs, Instagram, her friends, family, and fiance. While Saya loves to try new restaurants, Taco Bell is her kyrptonite.

Amita Kundra is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist practicing at NYU/Winthrop. She is a published author in the field of Anesthesiology and is an advisor and investor in the NYC healthcare startup space. She loves creating animojis, laughing with her friends, and cuddling with her puppy, Laila, and husband, Daven. Amita feels strongly that wine and cheese should be its own food group.

Fun fact: Amita and Saya met in the fifth grade at Stepney Elementary School and have been throwing awesome parties since 1992. They organized a nonprofessional happy hour in December of 2016 which was attended by hundreds and remembered by few (sign of a good time people). Now, they are switching up their game to rally fantastic female physicians.

See you July 16!
