Event Details

The MusicianShip cordially invites you to Dianne’s Recital 2018, our annual student showcase on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

Dianne’s Recital is a musical showcase featuring our students performing as brass, woodwind, percussion instrumentalists, dance and vocal while we highlight compelling presentations by our music media and business students.

Named after our co-founder, Dianne Grainger (1984-2009), Dianne’s Recital will be held at Woodrow Wilson’s state-of-the-art theater.

We're kicking things up a notch this year as independent Billboard-ranked musician and NAACP Image Award-nominated jazz keyboardist and pianist, Marcus Johnson will be performing alongside our talented youth!

This is your opportunity to witness the hard work of our student performers and it would mean a lot—to our students—for you to celebrate their success! After the showcase, we invite you to meet some of our students, staff, and other MusicianShip supporters at our after-reception sponsored by Yelp. PLUS, don't miss the opportunity to meet Marcus Johnson at our VIP Meet & Greet!

All proceeds from our event will be dedicated towards our initiative of changing lives with music. We are looking forward to celebrating our students and their accomplishments—with you—at Dianne’s Recital on August 1st!
